Shrim Scampi


- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 8 ounces linguine, cooked according to package instructions


1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
4. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
5. Add the white wine, chicken broth, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes to the skillet, whisking to combine.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.
8. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
9. Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet, tossing to combine.
10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
