Caesar Salad


- 1 large head of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 cup croutons
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2-3 anchovy fillets, mashed into a paste (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste


1. In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mashed anchovy fillets (if using), minced garlic, lemon juice, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
4. Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste and adjust the flavors if needed.
5. Pour the dressing over the romaine lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese mixture. Toss well to coat all the ingredients evenly.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Caesar Salad!

Note: You can also add grilled chicken, shrimp, or bacon as toppings to make it a more substantial meal.
